Transmission Steel

The expression transmission steel is generally used for SAE 1008 – SAE 1010 – SAE 1012 – SAE 1013 AND ST-37 grade steels. The cold-drawn, i.e. calibrated form of these materials is called transmission in the commercial market. Transmission steels have high welding ability due to their low carbon content. Transmission steels are used in many sectors such as construction, machinery manufacturing, automotive, white goods and even the defense industry.
